Complex Breast Augmentation: Patient 29

Complex Breast Augmentation: Patient 29

This woman presented with displeasure about her existing implants. She had an initial surgey with saline implants. Her records suggested a biplanar placement of her implants with identical fill. She was troubled by persistent hyperdynamic activity of the left implant. A revision was performed by her original surgeon with no improvement. She came to me. I suggested a neosubglandular placement and based the implant size based on dimensional planning. Vectra three dimensional photographic planning showed asymmetry. In the operating room we found that the implants were placed totally under the muscle with no biplanar release. Her implant fills were not symmetric. We placed different implants into each side with a symmetric result. We used Mentor Memory Shape (gummy bear) implants 420cc (334-1305) on the left and 375cc (334-1255) on the right. There was no more hyperdynamic movement. Complex Breast Augmentation performed by board-certified plastic surgeon Peter D. Geldner, MD, with offices in Chicago and Oak Brook.
