This woman waned to restore the shape of her abdomen following childbirth. The main problem was not skin excess ( the excess skin only weighed 140 grams), but rather abdominal widening at the level of the muscle. We had two choices. One was to float the unbilicus with her excess skin though that would leave an unnaturally low belly button. The second option which she chose was to perform a full abdominoplasty and allow a small vertical scar at the site of her original belly button. Her recovery was uneventful and she was please with the outcome.
