Liposuction with Implant Exchange and Vertical Mastopexy

This patient came to me with an interesting history and specific desires. Previously, she had saline breast implants placed subglandularly with a concentric mastopexy. Her nipples pointed down and she felt that her breasts were too big. I felt that her breasts looked so big because of the fullness in her lateral breasts. So I recommended liposuction of the later breasts and axillae. The best solution for her breast shape was a vertical mastopexy. We considered simply removing the implants but I was concerned that they would look too small. So with all these considerations in mind, we planned her surgery and performed a removal of 150c implants filled to 170cc, replacement with Allergan shaped implants style 410 at 140cc in the subglandular plane, verticle mastopexy and liposuction of the lateral breast and axillae of about 250 cc per breast and axilla. The outcome pleased the patient.
