This 66 year old woman came to me with an interesting history. Many years ago, she had a limited facelift in another country. She then had polyacrylamide injected into her face. It moved, and her face looked odd. Years later she had some removed by another doctor followed by yet another limited facelift. She asked me what to do. I recommended an open removal of the gel through a facelift approach and a more complete facelift with attention to SMAS repositioning. There were copious amounts of gel in place at various locations. I removed them. We went ahead with a facelift. She looks younger and her face looks normal.
